Living Room Glow-Up: Phase 1! Dining Room upgrade! Adding box trim to walls is an inexpensive way to instantly elevate a space. This is a great project for someone wanting to learn about power tools without diving in head first. The first cabinet building project took this laundry room from zero functionality to tons of closed storage! Laundry is still the worst chore, but now it's easy to find things and dust is controlled. Let me know what you think! Do you prefer open or closed storage? 7 months pregnant in this photo (end of April 2020) and in full nesting mode! Decided that our coat closet would be better served as a linen closet, so out came the saw! Not sure why any builder in Houston would make a coat closet part of a floorplan, but I don't make the rules (in case you're wondering, yes, it's hawwwt here and you barely need a coat, much less a dedicated closet for them!) One of the first major changes to our home (at the very beginning of covid lockdown), a built-in desk in the office! We hired this job out, but I designed it and translated it all for our amazing cabinet builders. They did a fantastic job and this is still a space that we use every day. This space still has a long way to go...stay tuned!
